It also means learning how to use objects in your immediate environment, parked cars, your bike, trees, items on your person, etc. as tools of self-protection or "weapons of opportunity."
At Jiu-Jitsu Calgary, you will also learn an arsenal of physical techniques of self-protection, including Strikes, Pressure Points, Hold Escapes, Breakfalls, Throws, grappling, Joint Locks and defensive techniques against Punching, Kicking and Weapon attacks.
