Giving Credit Where it’s Due

admin | April 14, 2009

We are very fortunate to have many excellent Assistant Instructors and Students at Jiu Jitsu Calgary who have stepped up and offered their services to help fellow students.

There are several I could mention right now but one member who I would like to give a “shout out” to this month and be recognised for his efforts is Sean Grimes. I’m sure you will have met him by now.

Sean attends all 4 adult Jiu Jitsu Classes every week, when we increase to 5 regular classes in the very near future, I’ve no doubt he will be there. He also attends the additional training clinics that I organize each month.

Sean has also committed himself to assisting in the kid’s classes – both Little Samurai and Junior classes.

I hold regular Free Self Defense Courses and there are no prizes for guessing who helps out on those.

This amount of training and commitment is very commendable to say the least, it has allowed Sean to progress comfortably in our system of Jiu Jitsu to become very competent in carrying out techniques and sharing the form with fellow students.

When someone shows this level of commitment and maintains it, you know they are going to have great success.

Sean has introduced friends to Jiu Jitsu Calgary too, the best compliment I could hope for.

We realize that not everyone is in a position to offer this amount of assistance but every bit does really help and is very much appreciated. You can join me in praising Sean by using the comments section below.

Excellent Job Sean Grimes, keep up the great work.
