admin | December 21, 2008

Congratulations to all who Graded this weekend. There were some excellent performances to end a very good Semester. The adult Gradings on Saturday and the Kids Gradings on Sunday showed off some of the hard work that has been applied over the last few months.

I am going to enjoy the short break but I really look forward to the start of the New Semester on January 5th 2009.

Jiu Jitsu Calgary continues to grow at a steady rate and we have many additional events planned for the Winter Semester with Sparring, Grappling and High Stress Drills all on the cards.Have a Great Holiday everyone

I find each class is a combination of physical and Intellectual Challenge

I love Jiu Jitsu Calgary for being so practical, focusing on self defense. It has really helped build my confidence.

I find each class is a combination of physical and intellectual training. I’m always being challenged in a really safe and supportive environment.

Everyone Should at least give it a try…

I’ve had the opportunity to see people come in for classes wanting to learn self defence. Years later it seems that they have gained much more than an understanding of different techniques.

The opportunity to grow in areas such as confidence, discipline, respect and fitness is so easily accessible with Ju-Jitsu.

For myself, Jiu-Jitsu is so practical and beneficial that everyone should at least give it a try.

admin | December 9, 2008

Congratulations to Sean Grimes and Hanne Maretti in their Yellow Belt Grading at the Jiu Jitsu Calgary main location today.

It was a sound performance by both students. Their hard work, commitment, attitude and focus in training  were certainly good contributing factors to their performance.

I hope the other students watching, learned a great deal from the experience.
